Job Title: Director of Development, Major Gifts

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development, Major Gifts to join our team at the AFP Golden Horseshoe Chapter. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading and implementing strategic fundraising initiatives to secure major gifts and advance the mission of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy to identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including major donors, alumni, and community leaders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Manage and analyze data to track progress and make informed decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our organization's mission, goals, and priorities.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in major gifts fundraising, preferably in a university or non-profit setting.
  • Proven track record of success in securing major gifts and developing strategic fundraising plans.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
