Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at New Asian Village Sherwood Park. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Develop and implement efficient systems and procedures to manage food preparation, service, and inventory.
    • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and train food service staff to ensure they are knowledgeable about menu items, preparation methods, and customer service standards.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to improve their skills and productivity.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary supplies and ingredients to meet customer demand.
    • Monitor and control inventory costs to ensure profitability.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that all food and beverages meet our high standards of quality and safety.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that our food and beverages meet our standards.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Assist with the settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including housing, transportation, and other essential services.
    • Support the social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees, including language training, skills training, and job placement.
  • Support for Youths
    • Offer on-the-job training and mentorship to youth to help them develop their skills and gain work experience.
  • Support for Indigenous People
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to Indigenous workers to help them advance in their careers.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
    • Language
      • English language proficiency.
    Work Environment

Our food service department is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires strong communication and organizational skills. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be working in a team environment with other supervisors, cooks, and servers to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
