Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical assistance on a range of engineering tasks, including:
  • Developing detailed technical work instructions
  • Conducting failure analysis and solution development
  • Performing structural and stability calculations
  • Supporting lifting appliance certification, design, and testing

Project Management:

  • Manage and execute engineering projects from initial planning to final delivery

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, classification society rules, and naval ship codes

Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, naval architects, and project managers to achieve project objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in ship repair, shipbuilding, or ship operations
  • Eligible for Professional Engineer registration in British Columbia, Nova Scotia, or Ontario
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
  • Experience with project management methodologies

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
