Job Description:

The Project Director Waterfront Delivery is a pivotal leadership role within Babcock International, overseeing the successful execution of complex projects in the Marine sector. Reporting directly to the Director of Waterfront Delivery, this individual will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for planning, estimating, cost control, change management, risk assessment, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly support the VIC EDWP PM to ensure project delivery meets cost and schedule requirements.
  • Cultivate best practices across all positions within the Waterfront PMO, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee cost-based budget management and financial forecasting for projects and the PMO, ensuring robust financial governance and accountability.
  • Develop and implement project management processes, tools, templates, policies, and metrics that align with Babcock's Project Management Framework.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers within the Waterfront Delivery Department, focusing on business improvements in performance analysis and project control tools.

Requirements:

This role requires an experienced leader with a strong background in project management, finance, and business administration. A Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering is preferred, along with significant experience in finance and business or similar fields. The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A minimum of 15 years' leadership experience, demonstrating a progressive increase in responsibility related to project scale, complexity, and financial value.
  • Expert-level knowledge of project and change management methodologies, techniques, and processes.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including writing formal reports and delivering presentations.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
