Senior Port Infrastructure Engineer

At WSP, we're seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Engineer-in-training to join our Canadian Ports, Marine and Coastal Practice.
The OpportunityThis role combines technical delivery with understanding and meeting client expectations. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing structural projects in a port and marine environment, and being a key member of the Canadian ports and marine team.

Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this role in British Columbia ranges from $67,800 to $93,200.
The final salary awarded may vary based on several factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Job Responsibilities- You will carry out site visits, site observation work for construction and inspections of structures.
- You will coordinate reviews of contractor submittals and requests for information to support site construction projects.
- You will read and interpret structural, architectural and civil drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to structural applications.
- You will review safe work practices and safety procedures, including planning prior to field work.
- You will ensure all project documentation and deliverables are reviewed in accordance with corporate quality management procedures and provincial/local professional requirements.
- Prior experience in structural engineering work, preferably in both design and site environments, is an asset.
- Detailed knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber design is required.
- Experience with structural analysis software is essential.
- A passion for Ports and Marine projects and excellent communication skills are highly valued.
Requirements
- Civil/Structural Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in good standing.
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
