About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team at Bridgewater Retirement Centre Inc. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to residents, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account residents' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Provide companionship and engage residents in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry duties, maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
  • Administer medications and assist with medical procedures as required.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
