Job Title: Community Residential Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Residential Worker to join our team at igility / Health Association Nova Scotia. As a Community Residential Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with complex needs in a community-based setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with cognitive deficits, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote independence and well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Provide behavioral support and crisis intervention as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a residential care setting or a related field.
  • Previous training and experience working with individuals with complex needs, including cognitive deficits, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals, families, and community partners.
  • Current and clear Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
