About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Blackman Support Services Ltd.

Job Summary

This is a permanent position with a salary of approximately $60,000 - $80,000 per year. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems, software applications, and other technology-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to user inquiries and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions.
  • Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts.
  • Participate in the redesign of applications and other software.
  • Supervise other technical support workers in this group.
  • Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties.
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (not required but preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical support roles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
