About the Role

This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the reliability of Porter Airlines' fleet. We are seeking an experienced Airframe Technical Specialist to collaborate with our In-House Reliability Team, develop MRB programs, and communicate effectively with OEMs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with OEMs, such as DeHavilland and Embraer, to address technical issues and stay up-to-date on emerging challenges.
  • Work closely with the Production team to provide technical support and guidance on aircraft maintenance.
  • Monitor fleet performance, identify recurring problems, and implement corrective actions.
  • Track and manage service bulletins, modifications, and service letters to ensure optimal aircraft availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with maintenance planning and technical records teams to optimize task efficiency and resource allocation.
  • Provide technical assistance to purchasing and warranty departments when necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of in-house Engineering Orders to enhance fleet reliability.
  • Participate in OEM working groups to drive product improvement and represent Porter's interests.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports using the Safety Management System [SMS] reporting program.

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably in a Line or Heavy environment
  • Transport Canada issued AME M2 or E license
  • DHC-8-400 and/or E195-E2 Endorsement required
  • Valid passport and ability to travel
  • Able to obtain airside security clearance
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Proven self-starter with excellent time management skills and multitasking abilities
  • Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of RAAS (Remote Access Aviation System) and AMOS an asset

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This figure is based on industry standards and taking into account the complexity of the role, the company's requirements, and the location.
