Aircraft Stress Specialist

As a key member of our multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting aircraft programs by providing expertise in static, fatigue, and damage tolerance stress analysis.

You will be responsible for reviewing, making recommendations, and providing final stress justification of reworks and repairs on defects produced on the airframe primary structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Design Engineers to provide timely stress substantiations to various manufacturing and assembly issues.
  • Engage with Stress engineering team to resolve key technical issues.
  • Document analysis on stress work files.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering and at least seven (7) years of proven experience.
  • Material Review Board (MRB) or MAP experience in commercial / business aircraft and / or previous MRB delegation is an asset.
  • Experience in static, fatigue, damage tolerance analysis and finite element analysis.
  • Experience in design office (design or stress) of aircraft structures (Airframe);
  • Knowledge of stress calculations / justifications.
  • Knowledge of aeronautical used materials.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a good standout colleague.
  • Good command of English language (written and spoken).
  • NASTRAN, PATRAN, FEMAP
  • CATIA V5, SOLIDWORKS
  • NASGRO
  • MS Office (EXCEL and VBA programming)
