Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sessional Instructional Assistant to support the teaching and learning environment in our department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our faculty members and contribute to the delivery of high-quality educational experiences for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of course materials, including lectures, tutorials, and assignments
  • Support the instructor in the development and implementation of teaching strategies and assessments
  • Provide guidance and feedback to students on their academic work
  • Assist with the administration of exams and quizzes
  • Perform other duties as required by the instructor
Requirements
  • Completed undergraduate and/or graduate courses in sociocultural and/or linguistic anthropology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Availability to work on Thursdays and Fridays at the University of Toronto campus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of teaching and learning principles and practices
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
