Course Overview

This course offers a comprehensive history of capitalism, spanning nearly six hundred years of human history. Students will examine how the profit motive has reshaped lives, landscapes, and values, and consider the drive to accumulate capital and its impact on legal, racial, and religious regimes.

Responsibilities

Duties may include teaching small tutorial sections, marking assignments, holding scheduled office hours, and invigilating exams. The successful candidate will have demonstrated effectiveness as a teaching assistant, academic qualifications in the subject, and the ability to introduce students to a diverse range of approaches.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants are required to submit a cover letter, Curriculum Vitae (CV), and a completed CUPE Local 3902 Unit 3 Employment Application Form. CVs will be used to help determine an applicant's mastery in the subject matter. Candidates should provide results of evaluations, when available.
