Job Summary:

The Capital Projects Coordinator will work closely with the Manager of Capital Implementation to coordinate the planning, designing, tendering, construction supervision, commissioning, and warranty of assigned capital construction projects. This role will also involve liaising with the Ministry and regulatory agencies regarding assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the planning, designing, tendering, construction supervision, commissioning, and warranty of assigned capital construction projects.
  • Liaise with the Ministry and regulatory agencies regarding assigned projects.
  • Act as the Owner's representative for the purpose of inspecting work to ensure compliance and workmanship.
  • Coordinate School-Based Building Committees regarding planning and design of projects.
  • Manage assigned projects to completion, including liaising with staff, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Technologist or Technician certification in a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years experience in construction, and a minimum of three (3) years experience in project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical and logical problem-solving ability.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Valid BC driver's license.
