Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager, Operational Excellence and Transformation to join our team at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada).

About the Role

The ideal candidate will provide ongoing support for the strategic refinement and oversight of the Operational Service Maturity Model, guiding discussions on Service owner self-assessments and progress.

This role requires strong collaboration, project management, and stakeholder management skills to align finance optimization efforts with the broader business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finance Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert for FinOps and provide guidance and recommendations to the Finance and partners for changes in process and operations.
  • Relationships: Develop and maintain strong interaction models with Finance and FinOps colleagues on the execution of initiatives and prepare and present materials to stakeholders with recommendations and updates.
  • Data Management: Support the team in building and maintaining the team's data, both in tracking status and in maintaining the attributes of the task. Identify complex problems, generate solutions, and recommend them to business partners.
  • Process Improvements: Identify and implement process improvements, streamlining finance operations and leveraging technology and data analysis to drive efficiencies and introduce new capabilities.
Requirements
  • Strong Knowledge: In Finance processes, good understanding of accounting principles.
  • Versatile and Adaptable: Able to perform well in ambiguous situations and stay resilient under pressure. Outgoing, creative thinker, who demonstrates strong initiative and flexibility to change.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience/knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent Data Skills: Excellent data skills, including managing, cleaning, organizing, interpreting, and using advanced Excel formulas and problem-solving/logic to track down errors and data breaks/issues.
