About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 0957016BC LTD. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Manage Budget and Reports: Prepare budget and cost estimates, and prepare and submit reports to management.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and provide regular updates to management.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a fast-paced food service establishment, and requires the ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Tasks: The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including supervising and coordinating staff, training and developing staff, managing inventory and supplies, ensuring quality control, managing budget and reports, addressing customer complaints, and maintaining records.
  • Supervision: The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising 11-15 people, including food service counter attendants and food preparers.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player, and have a client-focused approach.
