Job Description for Assistant Restaurant Manager

The Colander is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
  • Supervise staff to ensure they are meeting our high standards of customer service and food quality.
  • Train staff on new procedures and policies to ensure they are up-to-date with our operations.
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure seamless execution.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure we have the necessary supplies to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to ensure we get the best prices and quality.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to increase revenue and build relationships.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Fast-paced environment with high energy levels required.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job.
Experience:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent position with 30 hours per week.
  • Language of work: English.
