Job Description

The Colander is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet customer demand
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to meet customer needs
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure we have the necessary supplies to meet customer demand
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to ensure we get the best prices and quality
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to increase revenue and customer satisfaction
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of communication
  • 30 hours per week
