Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Manager

The Colander is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and improve daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Plan and organize daily restaurant operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure seamless execution.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including food, beverages, and supplies, to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times, and that the restaurant meets all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to ensure the best possible prices and quality.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, providing solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
