Job Description

The Colander is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and optimize daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain logistics.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service.
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to meet customer needs.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, and maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, and negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers have a positive experience in our restaurant.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 30 hours per week.
