About the Role

AXIS Capital is seeking a talented Claims Specialist to join our Canada Claims team. As a Claims Specialist, you will provide specialized technical claim handling for primary and excess liability claims under our D&O, E&O, EPL, Crime, Cyber, and Media policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse liability and damages issues in connection with primary and excess claims, maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • Analyse insurance coverage issues, draft coverage letters, and communicate positions to insureds and brokers.
  • Manage external adjusters and counsel, and collaborate with Insureds in the defence and resolution of claims.
  • Settlement negotiation.
  • Evaluate full pending of claims in connection with the posting and maintaining of accurate reserves.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with brokers, risk managers, general counsels, and a variety of vendors.
  • Provide data and analytic-based informational support to underwriters.
  • Provide support to underwriters with respect to marketing efforts, policy wording, and trending discussions.
  • Provide oversight, supervision, and guidance to TPA adjusters on behalf of AXIS.
  • Ensure prompt payment of losses and vendor invoices.
