Are you a skilled claims professional looking to take your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Claims Specialist in our Commercial Property team.

As a Senior Claims Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our clients while working closely with our teams to develop innovative solutions.

About the Role

  • Manage new and existing Commercial Property claims, including Marine and Energy claims.
  • Evaluate coverage, reserves, perform detailed claim investigations, and document files accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, brokers, underwriting, and business partners through verbal and written interactions.
  • Demonstrate customer service commitment by responding promptly to calls, emails, and letters.
  • Ensure claims handling adheres to established corporate best practices, claim handling guidelines, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Makes decisions independently within assigned authority and contributes effectively to the team.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on claims requiring litigation, adhere to litigation guidelines, and attend mediations as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience examining Property claims.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently on matters within granted authority.
  • Fluency in French is considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% as required.
