Deli/Cheese Department Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deli/Cheese Department Manager to join our team at Farm Boy. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the deli and cheese department to achieve exceptional customer service, sales growth, and operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Customer Service and Sales: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and promote sales growth through effective merchandising and inventory management.
- Team Development and Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of deli and cheese department associates, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Inventory Management and Control: Manage inventory levels, monitor stock levels, and implement effective inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize sales.
- Merchandising and Visual Displays: Design and implement visually appealing merchandising displays, promote products, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Operations and Logistics: Manage daily operations, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including food safety and handling protocols.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Typically requires a post-secondary degree in business or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role.
- Certifications and Training: Successful completion of a Public Health Food Handler certification, Smart Serve plus Level A First Aid and Basic CPR certification, or the commitment to complete within 6 months.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with a clear and effective communication style, both written and oral.
Work Environment:
- Physical Demands: Required to stand and walk for long periods of time during shift, lift, carry, or handle heavy objects.
