About the Role:

The Deli Department Manager will be responsible for ensuring the deli area is well-maintained and running efficiently. This individual will serve as the first point of contact with customers, providing them with information on their groceries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Place orders based on forecasting department needs.
  • Receive merchandise and verify quality and freshness of products.
  • Inspect floor displays to ensure products are properly rotated and merchandised.
  • Review Team Members' weekly schedules to ensure a fully-staffed department.
  • Stock, rotate, and organize items on shelves.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous grocery retail experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain.
  • Prior leadership experience preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions:

  • Walking: Continuously, throughout shift, while moving about the store and handling merchandise.
  • Standing: Continuously, throughout shift.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
