About the RoleThis is an exceptional chance for an accomplished DVM/Medical Director to join our esteemed team as a Medical Director Lead Veterinarian. As a key member of our leadership group, you will be responsible for leading by example, fostering a culture of teamwork, and delivering exceptional client service while providing optimal patient care.
Responsibilities- Providing expertise to ensure superior patient care, coaching teams on wellness plans, preventative care, and overall patient well-being.
- Reviewing and enhancing protocols as needed to meet regulatory requirements.
- Fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes exceptional client service and teamwork.
- Partnering with hospital leadership to assess financial performance and operations, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
- Recruiting qualified veterinarians through externships, referrals, career fairs, and DVM student summer program hires.
- Building and leading a high-performing team of veterinarians and technologists/technicians using effective leadership and coaching practices.
- Contributing to performance evaluations and leading coaching sessions for all team members, focusing on client education on wellness plans and preventive care.
- Dedication to promoting team-based medicine practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, pet parents, and the community.
- Outstanding coaching and mentoring capabilities for your medical and support team.
- Possession of passion for developing personally and professionally, with prior experience leading medical teams being an asset but not required.
