Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Seasonal Packaging Technician to join our team at Unilever's Rexdale facility. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging lines, maintaining quality and quantity standards, and adhering to all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate machine(s) and maintain quality and quantity of product as set by Quality Assurance and packaging Production Standards.
  • Inspect product according to production specifications and quality standards.
  • Manage changeovers as necessary, using basic hand tools when necessary as well as cleaning and sanitization.
  • Assist fellow employees with understanding and following safe work practices and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues as they arise on the line, and either initiate the corrective action or involve required teammate.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS, LOTO, GMP.
  • 2-3 years Manufacturing Experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company preferred.
  • IT Skills – Competent in the use of machine data and control systems.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and comfort using hand tools.
  • HACCP Trained an asset.
