Job Title: Seasonal Packaging Technician

Unilever is seeking a Seasonal Packaging Technician to join our team at our Rexdale facility. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.

Job Summary:

The Seasonal Packaging Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining packaging equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This is a seasonal position that will run from June 2024 to September 30th, 2024, with full-time hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain packaging equipment, including cleaning, changeovers, and lubrication.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with production standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and productivity.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS, LOTO, and GMP.
  • 2-3 years of manufacturing experience in a fast-moving consumer goods company (preferably).
  • IT skills, including competence in machine data and control systems.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and comfort using hand tools.
  • HACCP training (an asset).
