With over 500,000 ft2 of facilities, we have grown to be one of the largest co-packers of chocolate, confectionary, and snack products in Canada.

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Equipment Technician to join our Thornmount facility in Scarborough for the Afternoon shift. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or Mechanic specializing in secondary packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and troubleshoot packaging machines and lines.
  • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products.
  • Adjust machine components, machine tension, and pressure according to size or processing angle of product.
  • Regulate machine flow or speed.
  • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur and report malfunctions to a Supervisor.
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
  • Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment.
  • Monitor and perform preventative maintenance on the production line.
  • Train Packaging Equipment Operators.
  • Assist with production on lines as required.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or Mechanic specializing in secondary packaging.
  • Engineering/Technical Education background.
  • Forklift or Scissor Lift certification an asset.
