About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing programs and services to adults and young offenders. As a Probation Officer/Community Youth Worker, you will work closely with adolescents and adults in a diverse and inclusive setting, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and reintegrate into their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings, including community and residential environments.
  • Develop and implement case management plans to support offenders in achieving their goals and reintegrating into their communities.
  • Collaborate with community agencies, other organizations, and government personnel to provide comprehensive support services to offenders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks and promote public safety.
  • Develop and deliver programs and interventions to support offenders in addressing their needs and achieving their goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and reports.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess a degree in human services or a related field, such as social work, indigenous social work, human justice, education, arts: justice studies, psychology, sociology, criminology, police studies, or indigenous studies. You will also have a strong understanding of the principles of rehabilitation and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

A valid driver's license is required, and you will be required to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings. We are committed to workplace diversity and are an equal opportunities employer.
