Inside Sales Representative

Are you a sales professional looking for a challenging role that requires strong communication and relationship-building skills? We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team at Scotiabank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Wholesaler by promptly following up on meetings, road shows, events, and webcasts to ensure successful client engagement.
  • Initiate phone contact with clients to begin or expand on existing relationships, with a focus on building strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Keep an archive of relevant information pertaining to products, policies, procedures, and rules for dissemination to clients.
  • Ensure regional events and road shows are well attended by using outbound call campaigns to promote the event and encourage client participation.
  • Occasionally, some representatives will travel and attend their own individual meetings, with a focus on building relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Associate to determine priorities and tasks to be completed, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Make daily Purchase and Redemption calls to clients to identify trends, prospects, and first-time tickets, with a focus on building strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Create broadcast emails with pertinent marketing and product information to advisors via ODD filters and share with the sales department, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Data Mine using the Diagnostic Selling Process and populate the CRM system with all the information retrieved during phone calls and surveys, ensuring accurate and up-to-date client information.
  • Participate in national, regional, departmental, and project group meetings, sharing feedback and information to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Assist the Wholesaler in the segmentation of the client base to define service levels and ensure sales from various distribution channels and firms.
  • Act as a liaison with the Product Manager to set up Manager meetings, conferences calls, and webcasts, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Escalate client issues to the appropriate department and the Wholesaler, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Involved in special projects as required, with a focus on building strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Assist the Wholesaler in developing a strategic business plan for the year and review it quarterly with the team to increase sales from advisors in our territory.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a field such as Commerce, Finance, Business Administration.
  • CSC or IFIC certification; CFP or CIM.
  • Bilingual is an asset.
  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of management experience and managing a territory.
