Hydrogeologist Project Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Hydrogeologist to join our team at Tetra Tech in Calgary. As a key member of our Environment and Water – Geo-environmental group, you will work on diverse hydrogeological projects that contribute to the company's mission of delivering smart solutions for complex challenges.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will lead groundwater investigations, develop conceptual site models, and design field investigation programs. You will also oversee borehole drilling and logging, well installation, and maintenance of groundwater wells, hydraulic well testing, and surface and groundwater sampling.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement field investigation programs to collect and analyze data related to groundwater supply and hydrogeological assessments
- Oversee and provide technical guidance on borehole drilling and logging, well installation, and maintenance of groundwater wells
- Prepare and review technical reports detailing project findings and recommendations
- Build business relationships through proposal writing and industry contacts
- Mentor junior and intermediate staff in the office and field
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or geosciences (Master's degree is preferred)
- Familiarity with provincial regulations and a willingness to adapt to changing project requirements
- Strong work experience in field-based investigations, physical hydrogeology, groundwater supply, and hydrogeological assessments
- Demonstrated competency in soil and rock sampling, geotechnical soil and core logging, drilling, test pitting, well installations, water quality sampling, and hydraulic response tests
- Proficiency in groundwater analysis using AquiferTest or AQTESOLV
