Grouse Mountain Resort is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mountain Bike Park Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Mountain Operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bike park, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests, and promoting the park and its activities.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the bike park, including trail maintenance, construction, and related work assignments.
- Safety and Risk Management: Ensure bike park patrol duties are carried out effectively, including handling and recording of accident information forms, and ensuring safe trail conditions for all guests and staff.
- Staff Management: Provide direct supervision to bike park staff and trail crew, approximately 8-10 staff members.
- Financial Management: Manage the park's budget and financial activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and event planning.
- Marketing and Promotion: Promote the park and its activities through marketing efforts, including social media, email, and other channels.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to guests, including responding to customer feedback and concerns.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety regulations.
- Experience: Prior experience in bike park management or a related field is highly desirable.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in recreation management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills, strong communication and customer service skills, excellent risk management skills, and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Certifications: First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
The Mountain Bike Park Manager will split duties between an office environment and outdoors in all weather conditions. This is a full-time position, working an average of 40 hours a week, with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
