Job Title: Technical Manager - Materiel Lifecycle
The Technical Manager - Materiel Lifecycle is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of materiel throughout its lifecycle. This includes coordinating efforts across departments, managing materiel support activities, and applying Life Cycle Management principles to equipment and systems support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate efforts across departments to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of assigned materiel.
- Manage materiel support activities throughout all stages of the lifecycle.
- Apply Life Cycle Management principles to equipment and systems support.
- Serve as a technical expert for the equipment and systems.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of materiel acquisition and support functions.
- Collaborate with other departments such as supply and procurement.
- Stay informed about support facilities' capabilities for modification, repair, and overhaul.
- Keep up to date with advancements in relevant technologies.
- Manage the disposal of controlled goods or technology.
- Take corrective actions to meet project performance targets.
- Provide guidance to management on pertinent issues.
- Offer Life Cycle Management support to both internal and external customers.
- Respond to and oversee engineering support requests from customers.
- Participate in departmental administrative activities, contributing to the development of new practices and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Human Resources, safety, and security policies.
Requirements:
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited technologist program in electronics or aircraft systems, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- At least 2 years of recent experience working on advanced aircraft mechanical and electronic systems.
