Job Title: Junior Application Support

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Application Support Technician to join our team at Avanti Software Inc. in Guelph, Ontario. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth execution of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Support: Respond to daily support requests regarding our WMS and ERP systems, utilizing the ticketing system to track and resolve issues.
  • Data Management: Perform regular data imports and exports as required by the business teams, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in all transactions and reports.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to the WMS and ERP systems, collaborating with the IT team to implement long-term fixes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions to assist with future troubleshooting efforts, updating system documentation and help guides as needed.
  • User Assistance and Training: Assist in training users on new systems and updates, providing clear and effective guidance to end-users to enhance their understanding and use of IT systems.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Microsoft SQL and Excel: Strong experience with Microsoft SQL for database management and advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and report generation.
  • Experience with Ticketing Systems: Familiarity with using ticketing systems to manage, prioritize, and resolve support requests.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, adhering to deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and software updates.
Additional Information:

This position reports to the CTO and is a full-time position scheduled from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of working outside regular business hours when required.
