We are excited to have you consider a career opportunity at State Street. As a Senior Associate in our Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth settlement of securities transactions and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Settle trade and cash instructions on behalf of our clients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor and identify trade and cash discrepancies, documenting and communicating them to the relevant parties.
  • Escalate issues as required to Senior Management or above.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of job aids and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide coverage at both the Administrator and Management levels, assuming necessary duties as required.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, departmental controls, and business continuity protocols.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with staff, client service teams, and counterparties.
  • Participate in special projects and system testing, and lead as project coordinator or liaison as needed.
  • Engage in training and professional development to enhance technical expertise and growth.
  • Act as a mentor and assist in training newer staff members on internal systems and procedures.

Education and Preferred Qualifications:
  • PC literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • University/college degree in a business discipline
  • 2-3 years' experience in custodial operations and back-office administration
  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
