Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team at our North Shore Liquor Store location. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Transaction Processing: Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, as well as activate gift cards.
  • Store Maintenance: Ensure the store and storage areas are clean and organized, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Product Knowledge: Utilize product knowledge to promote sales and provide recommendations to customers.
  • Teamwork: Contribute to the team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Liquor Store Manager.

Requirements

  • Liquor Retail Experience: Preference given to candidates with previous experience in liquor retail.
  • Serving it Right License: Required for this position.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to problem-solve and think critically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for a full 8-hour shift.
  • Education: WSET 1 minimum accreditation required within the first year of employment, with a goal of achieving WSET 2 minimum accreditation.
  • Availability: Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and late evenings, with a commitment to a SAFE working environment.
