Job Overview

The Administration régionale Kativik (ARK) is a supra-municipal organization with jurisdiction over the territory of Québec located north of the 55th parallel. We are seeking to recruit an autonomous and professional individual to work as an Human Resources Advisor.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Department Directors and other management staff to assist and advise on all human resources aspects such as recruitment, payroll, disciplinary issues, and labor relations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries on human resources matters.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist and advise employees in matters related to human resources, collective agreements, and management working conditions, policies, and procedures.
  2. Manage the recruitment cycle, including hiring requisitions, candidate evaluation, and onboarding of newly hired employees.
  3. Maintain and update employee files and produce reports and statistics as required.
  4. Manage all aspects of employee files, including payroll, benefits, pension plans, workmen's compensation, and unemployment insurance.
  5. Review and update job descriptions, proceed with job evaluations, and assist and advise on pay equity and internal equity issues.
  6. Contribute to the negotiation of collective agreements and individual agreements.
  7. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • University degree in a related field or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, as well as planning, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in two languages: English and French.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: Min $89,855 – Max $123,554.
  • Cost of living differential: Minimum of $8 500 / year.
  • Food allowance: Minimum of $4,217 / year.
  • Annual leave trips: maximum of 3 per person annually.

  • Vacation: 30 days.
  • Statutory Holidays: 20 days including 10 during Christmas holidays.
