Nurse Specialist

Seven Oaks General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
- Take a leadership role within the healthcare team, facilitating coordination of patient care and discharge.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' unique needs and preferences.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify potential risks, and implement evidence-based interventions to prevent complications.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and promote patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Previous nursing experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of nursing care principles, including pharmacology, physiology, and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Proficient in the use of electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with complex needs.
- Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values, with the ability to provide culturally sensitive care.
- Fluency in an Indigenous language, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Certification in a relevant specialty, such as critical care or pediatrics.
