Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admin Assistant to join our Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness Department at North York General Hospital. As an integral part of our team, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide reception and public relations services to hospital personnel and volunteers across all sites.
  • Establish and maintain office systems, databases, and policies in conjunction with department leadership.
  • Assist with minute-taking, data entry, and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Organize and manage physician appointments, requirements, and travel arrangements.
  • Ensure confidentiality of telephone communications and office files.
  • Coordinate conferences, meetings, and educational events as needed.
  • Process payroll, invoices, and expenses related to Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness.

Requirements:

  • College Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant administrative assistant experience preferred.
  • Accurate and efficient keyboarding skills.
  • Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and general Occupational Health and Safety policies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player with excellent organizational and time management skills.
