About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join ABB Canada as an HR Business Partner for the Motion Canada team. As a key member of the HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting the business objectives of the Local Sales Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the leadership team to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support these objectives.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure the sales unit has the necessary skills and capabilities.
  • Employee Engagement and Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, mediating conflicts, and promoting a culture of open communication.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to leadership.
  • Change Management: Facilitate change management initiatives and drive behavior change & continuous improvement across the respective business area.
  • Compliance and Employee Relations: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and ABB policies, and manage employee relations issues in accordance with legal requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a business partner role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of HR best practices and local labor laws, experience in change management, and ability to communicate in French and English.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
