HR Business Partner for Western Canada Locations

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for our Human Resources department. As part of our HR team, your main role will be to provide comprehensive support to our Western Canada locations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide management with strategic guidance on employee-related matters, including policy adherence, leadership development, compensation, and HR support.
- Respond to inquiries from employees and leadership, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Conduct full-cycle recruitment, including interviewing, testing, employment offers, and onboarding.
- Foster employee engagement by collaborating with site leaders to develop engagement plans for each location.
- Develop and implement performance management strategies, including coaching, committees, and feedback sessions.
- Support benefit and payroll inquiries, ensuring accurate and efficient resolutions.
- Document and track employee complaints or concerns, conducting thorough investigations as required.
- Prepare complex cases, such as dismissals and grievances, in collaboration with HR and legal teams.
- Report attendance, training tracking, current activities, and other key metrics as needed.
- Maintain a deep understanding of union and non-union environments, ensuring effective navigation and support.
- Design, develop, and coordinate technical and leadership training programs, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
Education/Experience:
- A post-secondary degree in Business with a major in Human Resource and/or Industrial Relations is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is required.
- Recruiting, employee relations, labour relations, and conflict management expertise is highly valued.
- Industry experience in Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, or Unionized environments is an asset.
- Ongoing professional development in HR areas, such as Recruitment, Benefits, and Employee Relations, is encouraged.
Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and written communication skills are required.
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
- Ability to work effectively in both Edmonton and Camrose locations, with occasional travel to other Tenaris facilities across Canada.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
