Family Therapist

At Alberta Health Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Counsellor to join our team. As a Family Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up services to clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct care for children, adolescents, and their families within the Youth Community Support Program, including assessments and group/individual treatment.
- Intervene and support the planning, implementation, and management of mental health services for clients and their families.
- Provide comprehensive clinical services, including assessment, therapy, referral to other resources, and liaison with hospital and community services.
- System-based assessment and family therapy treatment.
- Case management and coordination of therapeutic services for program clients and their families.
- Master's degree in a health-related field.
- Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a community mental health setting providing mental health treatment to children, youth, and their families with complex mental health issues.
- Experience providing expert clinical consultation to professionals.
- Knowledge of community resources for children and adolescents.
- Experience working with Child and Family Services, Disability Services, schools, and other health partnership initiatives.
- Knowledge, skill, and experience in eating disorders and DBT.
