About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction General Manager to join our team at Sandmere Construction. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and direction of our construction operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of 11-15 people, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve team performance and productivity.
  • Project Management
    • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accurate financial tracking and decision-making.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
    • Provide regular project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as construction management, engineering, or business.
  • Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a senior construction management role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and management skills.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, and MS PowerPoint.
