Job Title: Corporate Banking Vice President

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Banking Vice President to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our Retail Banking Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business practices align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advisory support to Retail Banking Products, Services, and Channels to achieve compliant and pragmatic business solutions.
  • Engage with regulators to identify solutions for regulatory and business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments and provide options for regulatory compliance in the context of business objectives.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and communicate new requirements to business areas.
  • Assess the adequacy of processes and procedures implemented to mitigate regulatory risk and independently monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage regulatory examinations and reviews by the FCAC and other regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the Canadian regulatory system and banking laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of CIBC's products and services, policies, and procedures.
  • Leadership and people skills to manage a diverse group of professionals.
  • Influential skills to shape the decision-making process by business/infrastructure leaders.
  • Capability to oversee a variety of projects, including establishing objectives, defining deliverables, and overseeing execution.
