About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operation, ensuring that all meals are prepared and cooked to the highest standards. This includes managing inventory, training staff, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

We are looking for someone with excellent leadership skills, who can motivate and inspire their team to deliver exceptional results. You will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and porters, and ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

A key part of this role is maintaining accurate records and inventories of food, supplies, and equipment. This will involve monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records and inventories of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
  • Organize buffets and banquets to meet customer demands.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, cost control, and inventory management.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Estimated Salary

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
