Job Description:

Sun Life is seeking a Business Development Leader to oversee the growth and development of its Financial Centres. This individual will lead a team of experienced professionals in driving business results, improving client experiences, and fostering a high-performance culture.

About the Role
  • Develop and execute holistic business plans, focusing on wealth and insurance sales growth, financial results, productivity, client engagement, and governance metrics.
  • Source and recruit top talent, maintain proper staffing levels, and oversee the hiring and training of Business Development Partners (BDPs) in partnership with HR.
  • Lead adoption of new business process changes, supporting advisors and leaders through implementation.
  • Manage expenses and operational effectiveness consistent with business plans and drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at aligning FC performance to strategic targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • Valid life insurance agent's license in the provinces where Financial Centres are located.
  • Valid mutual fund license.
  • Strong business acumen, deep product knowledge, and understanding of the market, competition, and industry.
  • Excellent coaching and performance management skills.
  • Proven track record of success in leading, influencing, and implementing business strategies requiring knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per yearBenefits
