At Starcom, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Media Planner to join our team. As a key member of our Strategy team, you will play a crucial role in driving measurable business outcomes through the development and execution of innovative media plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement daily campaign strategies, with a focus on reporting and optimization.
- Analyze campaign performance on a daily basis, compiling and checking reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Utilize marketing, industry, and human insights data to determine client advertising and media needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of marketing objectives and strategies, as well as the human-product and human-media relationships.
- Assist in developing budget allocations across media, resulting in strategic and effective media plans.
- Present plans to the client brand group, with assistance from more senior media team members.
- Clearly communicate media objectives, strategies, and executional guidelines to execution teams.
- Work closely with agency partners to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Maintain strong relationships with media suppliers and stay up-to-date on market conditions.
- Campaign maintenance, ensuring quality control and adherence to overall media plan objectives.
- Develop campaign performance documents, including online campaigns.
- Utilize syndicated media, research, and other data resources to inform media planning decisions.
- Take an active role in client education on the evolution of the media landscape.
- Participate in internal and external status meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
- Develop and assist with the development of POVS.
- Active participant in the overall financial process, responsible for collecting and inputting data and ensuring accurate and timely monthly billing.
- Bachelor's degree, with a degree or concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience planning online and offline channels, with a focus on digital and performance media.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiation.
- Able to work successfully within a team, handling high-volume workloads and meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in math.
- Ability to effectively utilize media research and reporting resources.
- Technical proficiency, particularly with media systems and MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
