Executive Sous Chef

The Executive Sous Chef will oversee the preparation and presentation of all menu items in our kitchen. This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment and be able to lead a team to achieve exceptional results. Key Responsibilities:
• Estimate and manage food costs and inventory
• Supervise and train kitchen staff
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
• Develop and implement new menu items and recipes
• Collaborate with the head chef to plan and execute menu changes
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment and supplies are in good working order

Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., culinary arts, hospitality management)
• Food safety certification
• Previous experience with inventory management and food costing
