Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is seeking a seasoned tech leader to fill the role of Technical Lead, Digital Commerce and Solutions. This permanent position is based in our Innovation team and offers a remote opportunity that can be based across Canada.

This role is ideal for a seasoned tech leader who is passionate about turning high-level designs into real-world solutions. As the Technical Lead, Digital Commerce and Solutions, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end implementation of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with high-level architecture and functional designs. You will provide detailed technical documentation, feasibility assessments, and ensure sustainable solutions from both technical and business process perspectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the implementation of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with high-level architecture and functional designs.
  • Acting as a liaison between IT and business teams to define/refine technical requirements, validate estimates, and troubleshoot complex project issues.
  • Continuously improving and establishing development standards, adopting new technologies, and providing subject matter expertise to drive innovation in application development.
  • Setting performance objectives, providing ongoing feedback, and supporting career development for direct reports.

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of software development and implementation experience, including 3+ years working with Java or .NET, Spring Framework, CSS, XML, JavaScript, Relational and noSQL databases, Git, RPA concepts and toolsets, API Gateways, WebSphere Application Server, IIS, or related server software. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related area is required. Experience in eCommerce implementation is an asset, as is TOGAF certification and experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Data Cloud.
