Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to support our AML IT Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for data mining and engineering, as well as analysis and reporting of all feeds entering the AML space. This role requires coding and analysis skills, as well as collaboration with Business Stakeholders and business teams to determine data issues and onboarding requirements. Automation and design are essential.

As a Data Governance Specialist, you will be part of Global Functions Technology (GFT), a division of RBC's Technology and Operations. Our team collaborates with partners across the company to deliver cutting-edge IT solutions to clients representing various business areas. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, take on progressively greater accountabilities, and build close relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and code application programs, perform testing, and review, analyze, and modify programming systems.
  • Develop custom reports and UI pages for reporting purposes, automate manual processes, and work closely with business stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Unix Shell scripting experience.
  • 4+ years of Java and Hadoop development experience.
  • Expertise in SQL and RDBMS databases.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization and reporting development, statistical analysis, and Excel spreadsheet development.
  • Working knowledge of data management, mapping, manipulation, and wrangling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Python experience.
  • Prior Tableau and ServiceNow development experience.
  • Statistics and machine learning knowledge.
  • Data models and web development experience.
