Job Summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to support the Data Governance and reconciliation program. This position will handle data mining and engineering, analysis, and reporting of all feeds that enter into the AML space. The successful candidate will have expertise in Unix shell scripting, Java, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, SQL, and RDBMS databases, as well as experience with data visualization and reporting development, statistical analysis, and Excel spreadsheet development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and code application programs, perform testing, and review, analyze, and modify programming systems.
  • Develop custom reports and UI pages for reporting purposes and automate various manual processes.
  • Work closely with Business Stakeholders and Analysts to determine data issues and onboarding requirements.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in Unix Shell scripting, Java, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, SQL, and RDBMS databases.
  • Expertise in data visualization and reporting development, statistical analysis, and Excel spreadsheet development.
  • Working knowledge of data management and wrangling.
